Time Audit

*gasp* Aren’t Audits Scary??

Not this one. This is a friendly audit. It’s a time audit.

If you’re usually working on a computer and finding that you never have enough time during the day, it’s good to find out where it’s going.

I’ve got a tool to help with that and it’s crazy simple to use.

How it works

When you enter your info below, you’ll get access to a tiny piece of code that you can run on your computer.

Every ten seconds, it’ll log the date, time, and what window you currently have up. Whether you’re writing software, doing research, looking up recipes or watching cat videos, it’ll drop that info into a file.

Plus: If you haven’t moved the mouse in more than a minute? It’ll assume you’re taking a break (which is good–you should be taking breaks once in awhile).

Sending the Results

After a week, simply send the text file back that the auditor has been logging to, and we’ll do the rest. We’ll comb through the results and we’ll assign broad categories based on what’s going on, and form an idea of where most of your time is being spent.

Once you’re aware of where your time’s going? That’s when the magic happens. Because then it means maybe there’s a process that could be automated. And I don’t know if you’ve heard, but that’s kinda what we do here.

So go ahead and click the button and we can get started. See you up ahead!
